Miniatures Camp 24 Week! 7/28-8/1

MAKE IT! Studio is expanding, so we moved to a bigger location totally customized for our MAKERS We chose this location because it is a huge space, where we can break the class up into 2 age groups ! We also love that it is just a few blocks from the playground, for some outdoor play time to break the day up with. Camp will be held daily from 9 am to 3:30 p.m. with a late pick up option till 5pm Our camp schedule is based on week-long themes all summer. This week’s theme, Miniatures! This is a NEW Theme for us. We did a similar theme for one of our mini camps and the kids loved it, so we are taking it to the next level. As you know, all children love things that are "mini, so why have them make them their selves! They will make a doll that they design the character..it could be an Animal or a mini version of themselves. We will have templates and pattern for what ever they choose. They will make a whole habitat for their little one, with clothes, accessories, mini books and mini food using felt and clay! They will learn origami techniques for making furniture, and even a little crochet to make a mini rug! Our teaching method is to encourage individual thinking and creativity by letting our students have the freedom to create what they imagine. By offering principles and design guidance to guide this creativity the children will be in a formal yet playful environment that will both teach and entertain. For our repeating students we make sure they continue to be challenged and that they have new projects to entertain them.
